The project for the new elementary school building was entrusted to engineer De Marco and completed in 1921. In 1931, the streets surrounding the area were also named: the one connecting the town center with the provincial road was called Via Fiume; the old Via Borgo Nuovo was dedicated to Agostino Bajocco, and its continuation, which leads to the church of S. Donato and was called Via del Popolo, was named Corso Vittorio Emanuele II.
Costantino De Renzis
He was an important figure in the school life of San Valentino. Born in Pretoro on May 26, 1888, he participated as an infantry officer in the First World War, was wounded in combat, and earned a Silver Medal of Military Valor for an action that took place on Monte Nero (Krn) in Slovenia on October 24, 1917. He graduated in law in 1923 in Urbino, became a notary in Manoppello, and in 1933 moved to San Valentino in A.C., where in 1935 he served as the important Director of Education. In 1939, he was appointed mayor (podestà) of San Valentino by the Prefect of Pescara. During the years of the Second World War, he worked tirelessly to help the civilian population of the town. He died in San Valentino on July 16, 1944.
